Intro to Economic Development 101
Taught by Dr. David Wilson, founder of Cities and Regions, this two half-day course provides:
• A solid conceptual understanding of development patterns, political economy, and economic development will enhance your understanding of your region's economy.
• Frameworks for a clear understanding of economic development practice.
• A conceptual understanding of how the profession and its principles have evolved.
Please note that the course is run over two mornings from 9 am to noon respectively.
Introduction to Economic Development is one of four core courses required to achieve 101 Accreditation. It is for those who wish to further their conceptual understanding of how the profession and the principles underpinning it have evolved.
