Join us for an engaging and informative session on Regional Prioritisation. This is an opportunity to gain practical knowledge and insights from experts on effectively unifying and presenting your region's economic development priorities to various stakeholders, including central government.

When developing regional plans or presenting proposals to funders, regions (and districts) need to be able to identify and articulate their priorities clearly. Some central government funds require proposals to align with regionally identified priorities when making funding decisions. Yet, it’s often challenging for regions to agree on a set of mutually beneficial priorities, especially when balancing the needs of their stakeholders and mandates.

This panel discussion will delve into crucial topics such as consensus building, effective prioritisation, and strategic presentation to central and local government and other funders. By attending, you will gain practical knowledge on how to navigate these challenges, including when there are multiple (or no) regional governance groups.

Join EDNZ to hear from our panellists: David Cunliffe, Partner at Polis Consulting Group; Paul Swallow, Investment Director at Kānoa Regional Development Unit; and Vaughan Cooper, GM of Investment and Infrastructure at Northland Inc., for an interactive panel discussion moderated by Jimmy Sygrove from Rationale. Join us as our panellist share their insights and experiences on regional prioritisation with plenty of time for your questions. This a session you won’t want to miss.
